Treatment timeline visualiser

Pick the path your treatment is likely to follow and where you are travelling from. The visualiser lays out the visits, the healing in between and the hotel nights in Precious Dental's package.

Short answer

Most full-arch implant plans in Turkey take two visits. On the first, failing teeth are removed, implants are placed and, if they are stable enough, fixed temporary teeth are fitted. After healing at home, usually three to six months, a second visit fits the final teeth. Bone grafting can add a stage and months of healing before implants or teeth.

Build your outline

1. Which path is your treatment likely to follow?
2. Where are you travelling from?

Educational outline only, not a treatment plan.

The standard two-visit outline

If JavaScript is off, or you simply want the usual case, this is the most common shape of a full-arch plan at Precious Dental.

  1. Before you travelRecords and written planYou send a panoramic X-ray, a CBCT scan or photos. Full-arch cases are planned on a 3D scan and the written plan names how many implants, which brand, and why.
  2. Visit 1 · 4 hotel nightsSurgery and temporary teethFailing teeth are removed (extractions are free with implant treatment), implants are placed and, if they are firm enough, fixed temporary teeth are fitted.
  3. Usually three to six monthsHealing at homeThe implants fuse with the bone. Your surgeon confirms the gap.
  4. Visit 2 · 5 hotel nightsFinal teethThe final bridge is made and fitted. You receive an implant passport and copies of your X-rays and scans.
  5. AfterwardsMaintenance near homeCheck-ups and professional cleaning with a local dentist or hygienist.

Why the healing gap exists

An implant holds a bridge because bone grows tightly against its surface, a process called osseointegration. In the first weeks the implant relies on how tightly it was screwed into the bone (its primary stability). Over the following months, new bone takes over. The osseointegration explainer covers the biology.

The Cochrane review of loading times describes conventional loading as leaving implants without load for 3 to 8 months. In its pooled trials, there was no evidence that putting teeth on immediately changed implant or prosthesis failure in the first year Esposito et al., 2013. A review focused on people with no teeth found the same pattern for fixed bridges, with most immediate-loading studies asking for an insertion torque of at least 30 Ncm Papaspyridakos et al., 2014. That torque figure explains why a surgeon sometimes changes plan on the day: a temporary bridge goes in only if the implants are firm enough.

Paths that add time

Bone grafting or a sinus lift

When there is not enough bone height or width, bone can be rebuilt before or during implant placement. In the upper back jaw this often means a sinus lift. The graft takes months to mature into bone that can carry load, and how long depends on the graft type and size. We do not put a number on it here because it varies from case to case; your surgeon gives you a time in the written plan. See the upper jaw and sinus and bone-loss stages.

Zygomatic implants

Implants anchored in the cheekbone are usually joined to a fixed temporary bridge soon after surgery. In one large review, studies using immediate loading reported lower failure than those using delayed loading, and most failures happened in the first six months Chrcanovic et al., 2016. The number of visits for a zygomatic plan is confirmed case by case.

Travelling far for treatment

Distance changes comfort more than clinical steps. People flying from North America, Australia or the Gulf often prefer one rest day before surgery and a quiet day before the flight home. Our travel guides by country cover flight routes and entry rules from official sources, and what to arrange for aftercare once you are home.

The hotel nights in the timeline are Precious Dental's package figures: 4 on the first implant visit and 5 on the second, with airport and clinic transfers included. Flights are booked by you.

After the second visit

The work does not end when the final teeth go in. A systematic review of maintenance after implant treatment linked regular professional care with fewer problems around implants and suggested a recall at least every 5 to 6 months, adjusted to your risk Monje et al., 2016. Find a local dentist or hygienist willing to see you before you travel, and take your implant passport to the first appointment.

Common questions

How long is the gap between the two visits?

At Precious Dental it is usually three to six months, while the implants fuse with the bone. Your surgeon confirms the gap in your written plan, because healing depends on your bone and the type of implants.

Why do some plans have no fixed teeth on the first visit?

Fixed temporary teeth need implants that are firm enough on the day. Reviews of immediate loading often mention a minimum insertion torque of about 30 Ncm. If implants are not that firm, they are usually left to heal first.

Does a bone graft always mean an extra trip?

Not always. Some grafts are placed at the same time as the implants. When the bone is very thin, the graft may be placed first and the implants months later. Your scan decides.

How many hotel nights are included?

Precious Dental's implant package includes 4 hotel nights on the first visit and 5 on the second, plus airport and clinic transfers. Flights are not included.

I'm flying from Australia or North America. Should I arrive early?

Many long-haul travellers arrive a day before the first appointment to rest. Tell us your flight times and we plan around them.
